Learning what to do next, what is most important, and how to organize your day does not come naturally.
Learning what to do next, how to prioritize, and how to study effectively doesn't always come naturally. But these essential skills can be taught!
In this class, students will master organizing their day, developing personalized study methods, and becoming confident, independent learners. We'll tackle test anxiety, build strong review habits, and replace uncertainty with practical strategies that work.
My goal is to help every student realize they can excel—and to make learning something to enjoy, not fear. Let’s nurture their love of learning and set them up for lifelong success!
In this class, students will be equipped with personalized printed materials such as planners and study forms, tailored to their individual planning and learning styles. These versatile resources are available in both digital and printed formats, and students are encouraged to utilize them as per their preferences for as long as they like. However, these materials are for individual use only and should not be shared or posted online.
This class is available to both high school and upper middle school students, grades 6-12.
This class may count as a half-year high school elective credit.
TIME MANAGEMENT AND STUDY SKILLS
In this interactive, workshop-style class, students will develop essential time management and study skills tailored to their own unique learning and scheduling styles. These practical tools will help them organize and understand information throughout their lifelong learning journey.
Time Management:
We’ll explore flexible, margin-friendly ways to build schedules that truly work for each student. Students will learn how to stick to their plans—and, just as importantly, how to adapt when life throws distractions or unexpected changes their way.
Study Skills:
Students will discover effective ways to listen and learn during lectures, experiment with different note-taking strategies, and practice review techniques that suit their natural learning styles. They’ll have the chance to apply these methods to their current classes and refine what works best for them.
Please note: This class does not include personality tests, formal learning assessments, or evaluations.
As parents are their children’s primary educators, they’re welcome to join and participate in this class
